The Lovin’ Spoonful were America’s answer to the Beatles, skyrocketing onto the scene with seven straight Top-10 singles. Formed in 1965 in New York’s Greenwich Village and discovered at the Night Owl Café, they quickly became TV staples on shows like The Ed Sullivan Show, Hullabaloo, and Shindig!.

Their debut hit, “Do You Believe in Magic,” launched an incredible run of classics including “Daydream,” “Younger Girl,” “Summer in the City,” “You Didn’t Have to Be So Nice,” “Darling Be Home Soon,” and many more. Music icons like Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, and John Lennon praised their songwriting—Lennon even calling them “tunesmiths.”

Today, The Lovin’ Spoonful tours with founding member Steve Boone along with Jeff Alan Ross, Bill Cinque, Rob Bonfiglio, and Mike Auturi, celebrating the timeless good-time hits that made them one of the most beloved groups of the ’60s.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
